Information Collection and Use
BHS-Alum.org collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site. For each visitor to our site, our web server automatically records the visitor's domain and IP address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site.

BHS Alumni Central uses "cookies" for login session validation. A "cookie" is an element of data that a website, when visited by a user, sends to that user's browser which, in turn, may store that element on the user's hard drive or memory. Any cookies sent by BHS Alumni Central will be marked so that they will be accessible only by Alumni Central subject to this Privacy Statement. However, at his or her option, any user may block or delete our cookies from his or her hard drive. However, by disabling cookies, certain site features and functionality may no longer work properly, or at all. BHS cookie expires after 1 day and is completely removed if you choose "Log Out" from the update page.

Registration
In order to add or change information in the alumni database, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to give contact information such as name and email address. We use this information to contact the user when providing account passwords.

Users email addresses are displayed at the discretion of the user and will not be used for any purpose unrelated to Alumni Central. We never allow email addresses or other contact information out of our control.

Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. These hardened security systems include firewalls, authenticated access to internal databases, and audit of regular procedures.

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users’ personally identifiable information. This can usually be done by sending email to: bhs-alum@bhs-alum.org. Or, contact us by telephone at (434)-220-4607.

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.
